Fine Arts at Westbury Christian School

Logo_FineArts

The WCS Fine Arts program is a vibrant part of the three-dimensional education offered to students across all grades. Through the arts, students discover and develop their unique God-given abilities to create beauty in a variety of forms: visually, musically, theatrically and more. Students are encouraged to express their creativity in both traditional and innovative forms, in and out of the classroom.

From my performance in “Seussical the Musical,” I loved the feeling of being on stage. It feels really good to show how much work you’ve put into your performance, art work, and more. I’m grateful for and look forward to many more experiences I will have in the WCS Fine Arts Department.

It’s so fun acting like different animals. And I like using rainbow colors in a picture in art class best.

Jaycie Ward, Class of 2029

For the entirety of my time at Westbury Christian School, the arts have played a critical role in my daily routine and my overall growth. I have been given opportunities time and time again to challenge myself and expand my areas of expertise while playing trumpet with the Big Blue Band; acting in “Hairspray!,” “The Addams Family”, and “Working: The Musical”; and stage managing shows, including “The Diary of Anne Frank.” The encouraging staff and the nurturing environment they build will forever be home to some of my greatest memories of high school. It truly is a family that strives to represent God’s great love for us in every aspect of rehearsal and performance. God’s love brilliantly shines in the Fine Arts here!
